After the New England Patriots somehow managed to lose some sporting event (football I think?) last Sunday, I realized that I know understand why people choose to pretend things never happened.
It is much easier. Sure, it's immature, but I refuse to move on to the acceptance or even anger stages of grief. I want to go back to the good old days when I could be the arrogant asshole who cheered for the winning team. I already miss those days, and maybe, just maybe, I can hold out this fantasy of mine just a little bit longer.
Until I see another Giants jersey- then I am going to lose it.
